Goodbye Beijing...

Tomorrow morning (which will be Saturday night for you all back home), we will fly to Chongqing. The following day we will meet our new daughter! I cannot contain my emotions at this point. But I am in good company with other adoptive moms in our travel group. We all "get it". We don't have to explain or apologize about our frequent watery eyes. There's a few moist-eyed husbands around here, too (mine being one of them). We are about to meet our babies!

Our travel group includes three other families, all who are somewhat near our age. Two families will become parents for the first time. They have waited over four years for their babies, who are near or just over 1 year old. Another family adopted from China about 6 years ago, and their now 7-year-old daughter traveled to China with them to meet her new baby sister. Their new addition is about 1 1/2 years old. We are the "seasoned" members of our group as far as parenting goes. But definite newbies on adoption.

Less than 48 hours until we meet our Joy!
