All on Board

I had anticipated that our children would be excited about a new little sister,but their responses warmed my heart more than I had imagined.

We called them all into the living room for "a talk". As they entered and gathered around me, Daniel said, "I hope it's good news."

"I certainly think it is, and I hope you will, too," I replied.
They listened intently while I shared what God had told me. I then told them we were planning to adopt. The questions began...

"What's her name?"
"Where is she from?"

"How old is she?"
"When will she come home?"
"Can we tell our friends?"

My eyes scanned each face. There was a smile on every single one.

Although having more children, whether through birth or adoption, has always been a decision for Mommy and Daddy to make, I was delighted to see their excitement!

We were all on board.
