A Bedroom in the Making

What great fun it is to prepare a room for our daughter. It conjurs sweet memories of creating that atmosphere of "welcome home" to our other little ones. But I feel an even stronger desire to make this room a safe, loving, comforting space for her to call home.

Tim has worked hard to texture the walls and get them ready to paint. We were thinking pink, but have settled on a soft green. I've been scouring the web and our homeschool groups with hopes to find a nice set of bedroom furniture. Well, yesterday was the day! I was contemplating a little girl's white wicker set that I found on Craigslist, but then came across another set that suits the room much better and was cheaper! Hooray for Craigslist! Her bed will be soft and warm and cuddly, covered with a flower quilt of white, pink, green, yellow and purple.

I look forward to tucking her in, praying over her, and reminding her that she is safe and loved.

Here's a picture...

  1. Denise,
The bed and quilt are lovely, and inviting for your little girl to come home to.....or for that matter, even a guest :) It is early here, and we rushed to get to school on time, and maybe I have yet to fully wake up, but what is that night stand doing but SMILING!! Yes, it has 2 eyes {the knobs} and that certainly is a smile that the handle has made!! I love it!! {smiling back} waiting to see you little girl in her room all comfy and smiling like her little night stand!!
